The programme is a famous English tv sit com, created by John Sullivan and made by the BBC.

Seven hugely successful series' were initally broadcast on BBC  in the UK between 1981 & 1991, with a number of Christmas specials appearing in the following years.

The series was set in Peckham (an area of South London), and stars the brilliant David Jason as the cheeky market trader known affectionately as Derek Trotter or more commonly - "Del Boy"! His younger brother who was played by Nicholas Lyndhurst goes by the name Rodney in the series.

Their elderely grand father was played initally by Lennard Pearce and later he was replaced by Buster Merryfield - he was known as Uncle Albert.

Supported by a great supporting cast, the series  follows their many highs and (some!) lows during their life, and, in particular, their desperate attempts to get rich!
